Buddug is an award-winning theatre and festival designer working across the UK, with her work seen internationally in New York (THE GOOD EARTH by Motherlode), Australia (BOUND by Bear Trap Theatre Company), New Zealand (HIRAETH by The Jones Collective) and Spain (INVISIBLE CITY by Nova), and has collaborated with the Dutch theatre group, PeerGroup.
Her work is often surreal, colourful, modern, bold and industrial, working in harmony with the performers.
Buddug also runs a theatre company with award-winning writer and director, Jesse Briton. THE JONES COLLECTIVE create performances based on real people and rural communities in Wales. Buddug performed in their award-winning debut production HIRAETH to great critical acclaim. The company are currently working on their next production FRANK, which will tour to rural locations across the UK and internationally in a purposely-made inflatable venue, designed by Buddug.
Buddug is originally from West Wales, and works in both English and Welsh.
She graduated with a first class honours in Design for Performance at Wimbledon College of Art, University of the Arts London in 2011.
